Mounted the speakers in yesterday and man is it loud!! I had to turn the bass down from flat a couple notches. The bass drives right through the seat and into the cabin. The difference is Amazing vs the sub that was hidden. The vibrations through the seat are crazy and very clean.
I am a little worried about the MDF and holes for the bolts being so close to the edge that it may break. I used some bigger washers but may try to get a 1/4 steel plate to go on top to take some pressure off the edge

hmm. I think your trunk may actually be bigger than mine haha. Do you have the ridiculous strut bar?
Very clean install on the amps. You do some great work.

Thanks Rob,
No rear strut bar in the way like the coupe. I have a secret compartment as well.
Not really secret but if i don't put the top down there is a large area where the soft top is stored that could be used for a couple duffle bags.
Question Where can I get the black felt type material to cover this MDF? I checked Fabricland in Guelph but they did not quite have the same type.

Thanks Andrew
I put the top plate cover on. This nicely covers and hides the speaker boxes behind. It will be a month or so before I get around to covering this with something. I'm going to wait until the weather is warmer.
I'm thinking of cutting out a "Z" logo in the center between the two speakers and then light it up from behind with some neon or something.
What do you think?

I'm kinda worried that with this much extra weight in the car it'll be pretty slow ... and that you might not make 10's in the 1/4! j/k
As always, it looks amazing. Well done!
opps I edited this in stead of quoting it see below.

Although I think a 'Z' would look pretty sharp, and I am sure you would do it right, there are so many damn Z's in the car already lol. Everywhere I look I feel like they thought "heres some free space, lets put another Z here!" Even the rear strut bar one on mine reflects onto the rear window, and I see it in my rear view haha

I actually don't remember seeing to many Z's in the car? ?
But I am nervous about trying to cut out a Z logo and not ruining this panel. This is the second one. The first one could not be saved and look good.
Open for ideas to give it a little pizzazz. Maybe light up the speakers with an Led ring?

The steering wheel, the door sills, the vent inside the door (you see when you open the door), the rear strut brace, outside on each door, probably some others. Im just playing though Im sure it would look fine. Reminds me I keep forgetting to order my new badge for the back ;)
On a side note, I went to look at the Nismo edition Z they have at Guelph Nissan the other day. Have to say I am a little disappointed in it, as it seems like a lot more money for not much more car, but I guess you are paying for the rarity (only 1600 were made).
